Begin a clear fluid diet after your evening meal and continue until after your examination.

Acceptable clear fluids include: apple juice, Hi-C, Kool Aid, soda pop, clear chicken and beef broth or bouillon, clear Jell-O, Popsicles, coffee and tea (sugar is permitted). No milk or milk products. In addition to the clear liquids listed above, you may use a nutrition supplement such as Boost or Ensure. Ask your pharmacist.
